Welcome to the prize draw for this super cool 1966 MG Midget Mk2.
This cars previous owner was a prominent member of the MG Car Club and when he commissioned this car for a full professional rebuild and restoration it is fair to say he knew what he was doing and thus created what must be the nicest car of this type out there.
It is a very pretty car, with its chrome wire wheels and removable hard top painted in Old English White but it is far more than just a nice looking car proving beauty is far more than just skin deep!
Over £7000 was spent on the engine rebuild alone and that rebuild, with its twin choke Weber carburettor, coupled to a sports exhaust, give the car a power uplift to just over 80 BHP, 21 BHP more than standard. This is a really perfect power upgrade that makes the car really exciting to drive whilst still remaining practical on modern roads and the Kenlowe electric fan ensures that the car will not overheat, even in a summer traffic jam.
All suspension units, dampers and brakes have been upgraded to match the power uplift and the car sits on four brand new Uniroyal tyres.
We also love the sound it makes as it turns heads while driving through the country lanes.
Overall this car has the looks, performance and pedigree of a perfect 60’s sportscar. We think it is the best MG Midget on the road!
In test drives it has just brought such a smile to everyone’s faces. It’s simply just an awesome car.
