Description
1970 MGB Roadster
£7.00Per Ticket
We’re delighted to offer this exceptional 1958 MG MGA 1500 Roadster — a UK right-hand-drive classic finished in original Chariot Red with a black interior and black hood, finished off with classic wire wheels. This is the sort of MGA that’s truly show-stopping — beautifully presented, expertly restored, and ready to be enjoyed.
Completed as a sympathetic and thorough nut-and-bolt restoration in 1988, this MGA has been in the care of an enthusiast owner for the last 36 years, covering just 12,690 miles since restoration. It’s not only stunning to look at — it’s also been thoughtfully upgraded for modern usability with a 5-speed manual gearbox (Ford Type 9 conversion), making cruising more relaxed and long-distance driving far more enjoyable.
The MGA is one of the great post-war British sports cars: light, elegant, and beautifully proportioned, with timeless styling that still feels special today. This example combines that classic charm with the kind of condition and drivability that makes it a genuine “use it and love it” classic — and it’s the sort of car that, if you took it to your local show, would win all the cups.
A rare opportunity to win an immaculate, fully restored 1958 MGA Roadster with long-term ownership and superb usability. The winner will be drawn live on our Facebook page — it could be you.
Good luck!

We’re delighted to offer this superb 1970 MGB Roadster — a UK right-hand-drive, home-market car finished in Tartan Red with a black leather interior and red piping — as the prize in our latest Classic Car Competition. Rebuilt and reassembled to an exceptional standard by CCHL (Simon Lucas), renowned MG specialists. This is the kind of MGB that feels properly sorted: sharp, tight, confidence-inspiring, and ready to enjoy from day one.
A key part of what makes this one so special is the replacement Heritage bodyshell. It was stripped back to bare metal and resprayed, then carefully rebuilt and finished with all the right touches — so it presents beautifully and drives with that “nothing to chase” feeling. Under the bonnet sits the refreshed 1.8-litre (1798cc) B-Series running twin SU carburettors, paired to a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive for relaxed cruising and effortless touring.
The specification ticks every box for an archetypal British roadster: a new mohair hood, walnut dashboard, and new chrome wire wheels and tyres, all tied together with a fresh interior that looks spot-on against the paintwork. And behind the wheel, it genuinely has that “brand new in 1970” feel — smooth, composed, and beautifully put together. It’s the sort of classic you’ll happily take anywhere — from local Sunday runs to longer trips — with the reassurance that it’ll get you there and bring you back home again.
This is one of those rare MGBs that genuinely feels like the best version of itself — beautifully sorted, tidy, and dialled-in, with the finish and attention to detail to match.
A rare opportunity to win a truly outstanding 1970 MGB Roadster — beautifully rebuilt, brilliantly usable, and ready to give you that grin-from-ear-to-ear feeling every time you turn the key. The winner will be drawn live on our Facebook page — imagine hearing your name and realising it’s yours.
Good luck!
