Description
1975 Triumph Spitfire 1500
£5.00Per Ticket
A charming British roadster with classic Michelotti styling, open-top appeal, and the kind of engaging, enjoyable driving experience that makes these cars so loved.
Registered on 1st January 1976, this Spitfire represents the final 1500 generation of the model, produced from 1974 through to 1980. Designed by Giovanni Michelotti, whose work also includes the Triumph Stag, TR4 and TR5, the Spitfire carries that unmistakable Italian-influenced sports car shape, built by Triumph in the Midlands.
This example is ready to be enjoyed throughout spring and summer, with a 1.5-litre engine running twin SU carburettors and overdrive gearbox. It also features a stainless exhaust system from the manifold back, giving it a lovely sound and adding to the character of the drive.
The car has been well prepared with several useful upgrades and recent improvements, including an electric cooling fan, immobiliser, new speedometer cable, clear hood windows, and a fully carpeted boot. The wheels have been blasted and powder coated in silver and fitted with new Uniroyal tyres.
